Hepper Planet is a universe for the little ones. It consists of 8 small friends with each their personal characteristics. Differences encourage us to investigate the new and unknown and often result in smiles and excellent experiences. That is the goal of Hepper Planet – to bring more smiles in people’s faces.
The product range currently include costumes and puppets. The design is simple and graphic and the material is nice soft and breathable cotton so the child can wear the clothes all day long without sweating and feeling uncomfortable. The puppets are likewise made of the same material and have more functions – a regular teddybear, a puppet and a travel buddy to cuddle with on the plane or in the car seat when taking a nap.
Hepper Planet was founded in 2015 by Anne Kirstine Ellegaard. As a Sociologist and mother of three kids, Anne Kirstine finds it very important to teach our kids about differences. No matter where we go we have to deal with people who are different from ourselves. Potential conflicts, misunderstanding and disagreements are embedded in our differences as human beings. Knowledge and awareness of our own and other’s personal characteristics is a great starting point in the meeting with other people.
Each of the 8 friends from Hepper Planet have a very caricatured personality in order to manifest differences. When these archetypes interact and communicate they sometimes end up getting hurt, sad or frustrated because they are not aware of the other person’s perosnal charateristics. By introducing the personalities to the children when playing with the costumes and puppets, Hepper Planet can be used as an educational tool. That way the child will be challenged to try to imagine how others are acting and thinking. Empathy and understanding are strengths that we must do our best to introduce to our children in order to make the world a better and safer place.
